I have had the chance to work with Daniel in two opportunities. The first time was in 1994, when I was the Merchandising and Logisitic General Manager at the biggest retailer in Venezuela, Cativen (Casino Group). Daniel was our solutions supplier where he implemented a test in our main 40 stores. Daniel recommended to introduce ECR and Category Management as the solution. He structured the whole process with our main vendors such as P&G, Nabisco, Nestle, Heinz, among others, with excellent results due to Daniel’s resolution to achieve the settled objectives.
The second time was in 2004 where he developed the consulting company I was working (KOM International), as one of the distributors in Mexico for the solutions he represented.
Daniel is highly focused to results and oriented to the customer needs. He has a strong relationship building ability. Daniel was, without question, one of the most pro-active distributor partners I worked with during my time as BDM in Latin America. The Apollo strategy at Datos was significantly more developed than in many other territories across the region and this was predominantly driven by Daniel's determination to provide a highly professional approach to space management and trade solutions, not just in Venezuela but in the burgeoning market in Colombia.
His understanding of the solution-based strategy was extensive and his professional approach was highly regarded amongst colleagues and clients alike, apparent through the excellent relationships that Daniel managed within his territory.
